About us

At our guesthouse, we place great emphasis on using natural ingredients and select our suppliers based on sustainability and regional criteria.

This enables us to offer our guests a generous, regional breakfast buffet.

Local produce & sustainability
are important to us.

As well as homemade products, such as our delicious fruit spreads and our honey from our woodland estate in Langenhennersdorf, we offer you other products from our region.

For instance, most of our cheese, custard and yoghurt come from the Fiedler dairy in Wehlen; our selection of sausages and salads from Schick butchers in Pirna; our baked goods from Bohse bakers in Struppen; the herbs for our homemade herb salt from our own garden or from the garden of our assisted living facility, Villa Rose, in Pirna; our eggs and apples come from Struppen/Ebenheit, most of our vegetables come from the Spindlerhof in Liebstadt, and we also take great care to source our drinks at the Maxibar locally. For example, our beer comes from the Pirna Brewery.

Thanks to this regional selection, we have now also become a partner of the ‘Gutes von Hier’ association.

And we are particularly proud that our Petra has been honoured as ‘Saxony’s Tourism Heroine 2023’ for her extraordinary commitment.

On 1 September 2025, our guesthouse, Kleiner König in Struppen, was named the state winner in the ‘Guest Favourites’ category for guesthouses and inns in 2025, selected from among all the regional winners in Saxony. We still find it hard to put this moment into words – we are overjoyed and deeply grateful for this wonderful award, which is of inestimable value to us. It fills us with great pride and confirms that the heart and soul we put into our work, our passion and our commitment to quality, hospitality and sustainability in tourism are well worth it.

A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to our fantastic team, who are there for our guests day in, day out with such passion, dedication and heart and soul. Each and every one of them contributes in their own way to ensuring that you feel welcome and are able to enjoy unforgettable moments.

This naturally includes everyone – from our hard-working caretakers at GEVA Gebäudeservice, who tend to our garden with such loving care, right through to all those at GEVA Unternehmensgruppe GmbH who often work behind the scenes yet are absolutely indispensable. We would also like to thank our regional supporters and partners! Because it is only by working together that we can achieve great things and carry out projects that go far beyond the everyday. And last but not least: our deepest thanks go, of course, to you, our guests. Your trust, your loyalty and your enthusiasm are the greatest gift and, at the same time, our daily motivation. You are the reason why we do what we do with joy and passion, why we strive time and again to give our very best, and why this award has been made possible in the first place. For us, this award is a sign that we are on the right track – and it encourages us to continue along this path.

Our guesthouse is a retreat for people who love authenticity and nature. For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a way of life. It is a daily contribution towards treating our environment, our region and the people who live and work here with greater care.
